Hassan Rezai Baghbidi is Professor at the Graduate School of Language and Culture of Osaka University, Permanent Member of the Academy of Persian Language and Literature, and Member of the Higher Scientific Council of the Center for the Great Islamic Encyclopedia. His field is Iranian linguistics, ancient Iranian culture, and Sanskrit. He won the Iranian Book of the Year Award in 2005 and 2006.
