Omid Mallak Behbahani
Research Interests: Comparative studies in ancient, classical, and modern Persian literature
Omid M. Behbahani is an Associate Professor in Ancient Iranian Culture and Languages at the Institute for Humanities and Cultural Studies (IHCS), Tehran, Iran. Among her achievements: Directing the Department of Ancient Iranian Culture and Languages, Faculty of Linguistics (2011-2014); teaching Manichaean Middle Persian and Parthian texts (1998-Present); being appointed as Visiting Lecturer in Persian Language and Iranian Studies at Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary (2008-2009), and Australian National University, Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies (2014- 2017). Currently she is working on the project of “Compiling an Etymological Dictionary of Manichaean Middle Persian and Parthian Verbs with Sentence Examples” to be published by IHCS. Comparative studies in ancient, classical, and modern Persian literature is the focus of her research and publications.
