Considering the increasing interest toward spirituality among the youth and the emergence of new mystic systems all over the world, this study was performed to explore one of these new mystic systems established by Osho. The teachings of Osho are based upon meditation, happiness, and removing mentality and reason. Osho was an Indian mystic who has obtained many followers in recent years and now has followers from all over the world. He based his system upon meditation, achieving silence and internal stability. Osho has been under so much influence from Buddhism such that part of his teachings has been taken from Buddhism. In Buddhism, as well, attention is given to silence and loneliness. Buddhists believe that it is only through this silence that human being can realize facts. From a superficial point of view, it can be concluded that Osho’s teachings are quite beautiful and attractive; however, when explored from a deeper point of view, thoughts and attitudes such as spreading sexuality and joy-seeking, refusing reason, absurdity-seeking and so on can be observed in his teachings that are really harmful to the society, especially for the youth.
