The Model of Islamic Social Theology in the Thought and Works of Imam Musa Sadr and Mohammad Beheshti

Moosa Sadr and Mohammad Beheshti are two of the most prominent contemporary thinkers and reformers of the Muslim world who employ theological approach in dealing with social problems. Their influential presents in both theory and practice, underlines the significance of studying their ideas and social practices. In this dissertation, through using the literature of social theology and reading books and documents left by Sadr and Beheshti, their thought will be analyzed descriptively and analytically. Study of Their conceptions of man, society, theology, rationality and ethics are studied comparatively. It is claimed here that the social theologies of Imam Sadr and Shahid Beheshti rest heavily on the model of Ummah Wahedeh as designed on the basis of the above conceptions.
