In order to commence mutual scientific and research collaborations, the universities of URD and Pontifical Lateranense University signed a memorandum of understanding on April 11th .
As Dr. Navvāb and S.E.R. Mons. Enrico dal Covolo, presidents of URD and PLU, met on Saturday at the former, s office a memorandum of understanding was signed between the two institutions to commence mutual scientific and research collaborations.
During the meeting Covolo, accompanied by Leo Boccardi, Vatican, s ambassador to Iran, pointed to the announcement of the current year as the Holy year of Jubilee (year of mercy) and stressed that in this year the world needs to be more peaceful and hostility-free.
“In this regard” he also added “universities like URD and PUL should extend hands to cooperate in terms of research on common grounds of science.
In this meeting Dr. Navvāb also expressed his institute, s extensive preparedness for expanding such cooperation with its Italian counterpart.
At the end of this meeting the memorial emblems of the two universities were exchanged between their presidents in addition to the MoU signed.
